And, there is one, which has the magical ability to turn  into ... spaghetti .
Name that it owes to the fact of the shape that takes its   flesh when cooked, when it is hollowed out.

Cooking + preparation of the spaghetti squash
It is true that squash are not always easy to prepare, nor  quick to cook.
For some, their skin is edible (such as zucchini or  pumpkin), which simplifies their preparation; but this is  not the case for others, including spaghetti squash.
Depending on what you want to do (stuffed, use only the  flesh ...), we will choose a cooking method from the  following:

 Cooking with water
Place the squash in a saucepan, cover it all with water, and  cook over medium heat for 20 to 30 minutes (depending on  size).
The squash is cooked when the tip of a knife pierces & sinks  easily into its skin.
Cut it into 2 (be careful, it's hot - you can let it cool),   and empty the flesh with a spoon.

 In which cases?
This method of cooking requires that you have a large pan  and / or that your spaghetti squash is not too big , because  the spaghetti squash must be immersed whole & totally in  water.
This method of cooking will be used to make purees , or to  return the flesh-spaghetti to the pan to brown it.
Do not choose this method of cooking if you need the oven to  brown the squash.

 Baking
Whole squash : Put it in a baking dish, and cook at 170 °  C for 40 minutes to 1 hour (depending on size, and the power  of your oven).
Squash cut in 2 : cut your squash into 2, and place it in  a baking dish, flesh up .
Make bake at 170 ° C for 35 to 50 minutes (depending on its  size and power of your oven).
A little trick to prevent his flesh from drying out too  much: you can pour a few drops of coconut oil on top before  cooking.
The squash is cooked when the tip of a knife sinks easily  into the flesh.

 In which cases?
This method of cooking is ideal if you want to use it to  make a gratin by stuffing it ; you will then use the flesh  removed to mix with other ingredients (cheese, oilseeds,  cereals, other vegetables, eggs ...) & stuff the skins.

 Cooking with the pressure cooker
Put the squash in your pressure cooker, and add a little  water.
This cooking mode is fast because it requires only 7 to 10  minutes of cooking .
